The problem we set out to solve
Most dog owners who want to feed fresh hit the same wall. The science is real but scattered. The math — portions, ratios, calcium, calories — is genuinely intimidating. And the loudest advice online is often the least helpful: fear, dogma, and "just wing it," none of which tell you what to actually put in the bowl tonight. So people either give up and go back to kibble, or they feed fresh anxiously, never quite sure it's balanced.
What we built instead
FreshFed is a system, not a lecture. At its center is a working dashboard that does the hard part for you: enter your dog's weight, pick your feeding model, and it calculates the portions, balances the ratios, plans the week, tracks the results, and even tells you your true cost per meal. It supports every major approach — PMR, BARF, Ancestral, Whole Prey, and Gently Cooked — because there's no single "right" way to feed fresh; there's the right way for your dog. A clear, beautifully designed guide sits alongside it to explain the "why," so you're never just following instructions blindly.
What we believe
We believe dogs thrive on real, minimally processed food — and that their humans deserve tools that feel as considered as the food they're trying to serve. We believe in education over fear, simplicity over dogma, and showing our work. We're not here to shame anyone's bowl; we're here to make the better one easy.
The standard we hold ourselves to
Every tool we make has to pass one test: would we use it every week for our own dogs? If a page doesn't earn its place, it doesn't ship. That's why FreshFed feels less like a printable and more like an operating system for your dog's health.
